I'd like to start off by saying I am NO male chauvinist pig.. But I think i can safely say that most people would probably look down on an all girl team ? (I didnt though, for the record XD)
However , contrary to general expectations..They did really well...so..Just like to start a thread where people can give a round of applause(sorta) and show appreciation for what PMS has shown the world(most of it) .
So..A round of applause and a toast to the beauties at PMS , to the trend-setters , the first true competitive all girls gaming clan..They really showed that girls arent lacking when it comes to gaming prowess , and..Good luck for all future endeavours , be it in the esports world or not..Hope to see you gals in future at successively bigger tournaments , hopefully even on the winner's podium =)
P.S. One thousand and ninety-nine apologies for any spelling mistakes , grammatical errors , or any awkward phrasing , and I am in absolutely no way trying to degrade team PMS..I truly believe that they will bring about a new era in esports . No flaming , if you can help it..Please and thank you =D
But see, the simple fact you created this thread, shows an underlying chauvinistic attitude. Had this been a male only team, oh like frag dominant, would you have posted saying good job to them? You are saying good job and asking for a round of applause for them, BECAUSE they are all females and that is not chauvinistic? ;)
I am all for any combo of gaming teams...all male, all female, or co-ed. But regardless of their gender mix, it is how they perform and compete as a team that should get them noticed and NOTHING else.
Err...You dont really get me...Im applauding them because , yes they are an all-girls team , but mostly for bringing something new to the field and breaking the paradigm that most people have (Believe me , i know , most of my friends have this strange opinion , probably from their own personal experience that 'girls cant play games for nuts')
So I'm not being chauvinistic..You see , if frag dominant did win..and i said GOOD JOB FOR BEING AN ALL GUYS TEAM AND BEING NEW AND DOING WELL...it wouldnt really have any point to it..simply because 99% of competitive gaming teams out there are all guys , and have been so for a long time . Its like in any sport , a new player , or team brings something new to the field , you applaud them .. Im not applauding them solely for being girls , but also for refreshing the field . Hope you understand what I mean , SirScoots .
EDIT-------> And also , following your argument , noone can congratulate them because it would have sounded 'chauvinistic' , simply because they are an all girls team . And if my thread was simply 'congrats to pms for doing well' then ...It doesnt emphasise the point that i like the idea of having an all girls team out there , rather than just guys dominating the field because there ARENT any girl teams .
Creating this thread does NOT show an underlying chauvinistic attitude in the original poster, merely reflects that many others do show such an attitude. But yeah, I agree that PMS did very well and had an overall great performance.
Rize, that was a ridiculous comment to make. Perhaps you should mature before posting next time? Well said mate, indeed PMS have made an impact on the world DotA scene and they deserve to be congratulated for it.
#8 am I? Oh no...I feel SO sad and lonely now , time to go look for a real girl...=/ Learn to give credit where credit is due , otherwise just learn to keep quiet , rather than deriving pleasure from insulting others . If you absolutely cannot control the maddening urge within you to criticize others ..Well , Good luck mate =)
#7 sadly, you fail to realize that all she did was beat all the other GIRLS in doa. She played a match against one of the top male doa players and got demolished accordingly.
I'll wait 'till females start beating the males to hop on the PMS bandwagon. :]
I'm down, as long as it's mud wrestling. Haha, I'm just kidding.
Anywho, I agree that PMS did a good job at Fire in Ice. I don't really care about whole "chauvinistic" issue, heh. I simply believe that PMS had the potential to place higher in the event and I don't know what happened to the team. They're definitely a mentionable team that performed well at the event, though. I believe they deserve to be rewarded with at least some type of credit.

We are GAMERS...gender should NOT mean anything!
