DOTA: JMC adds DOTA squad

Apex joins the JMC ranks.
JMC entered 2005 as a fairly unknown squad with a sub par CPL and a cal-im championship under our belt. Throughout the year we grew from a somewhat known name in the American CS community, to an international brand name. I am pleased to announce the evolution of JMC as we make our next major step in e-sports by expanding into a multi-gaming organization. Without further ado I would like to introduce the JMC community to our second division, JMC DOTA. Dota, which is short for defense of the ancients, a war craft three mod, much like CS is a mod for Half-life. When looking to expand our organization we wanted a game with a large fan base and a squad that could compete at a level which JMC has been accustomed. With DOTA not only did we find a great and rapidly expanding fan base, but we were fortunate enough to find a dedicated and elite squad, formerly known as Apex.

Apex won the first season of a cal in a decisive fashion by beating Complexity’s dota squad 2-0 in the championship, making them the #1 team in the country. They were then moved to the newly formed Cal-main, consisting of the top twenty four teams from last season, where they are currently undefeated with a 2-0 record. The squad consists of:

Henry “Fang” Fang (captain)
Walter “Goose” Lu
Jim “Wing” Jia
Andrew “Shaang” Kim
Glenn “Corea” Paik
Alex “Daisy143” Daniel
Ben “Mer-lini” Wu

With the addition of our dota team this opens up new positions in our staff for DOTA coverage staff, if interested please message GeX on mIRC with qualifications. We look forward to welcoming the new squad and DOTA fans to the JMC community. The JMC division selector now works and the squad can be viewed under the dota tab on the right side of the roster.
