Verge Gaming would like to give a warm welcome to our new DOTA squad! The current squad is comprised of members from the former team Want a Cookie? (WaC), which placed 3rd in the inaugural season of CAL DOTA.

Here's what team captain, David "King" Liu, had to say:

“Not too long ago, I believed that the achievement of this level of recognition (for DOTA) was merely a wild fancy. I am grateful to verGe for giving me and my team an opportunity to represent it in the DotA community, and will guarantee that we will do our utmost to achieve success in all the ways that verGe defines it.”

Matt Marcou, Founder and President of Verge Gaming, had this to say:

"As some of you know, I was a major advocate for the CAL DOTA league and helped bring the league to light as Operations Manager for CAL Warcraft III at the time. Now I am putting my money where my mouth is as DOTA now has a stable online environment for competition. After talking to a handful of top teams, I have found a solid group of responsible and dedicated individuals that I believe can launch another successful verGe division."
