Gosu Teacher's GT-Snake gives his opinion of the top teams in Prime Defending 2's Euro and Mix Qualifier
PriDe 2 European Qualifier
Lolboat Lolboat is a mix of Scandinavian players created to play the MYM tournament, composed of mainly former BTo players and freelancers such as ilovetemplar, Najin, and Okke-Virtahepo. Each individual's skill level and experience is very high, and I expect them to qualify without any problems, being the strongest team in the European qualifier. When I asked clan leader Maelk about the possible teams that could stand in their way he answered confident as usual: “There are a lot of teams participating who haven't really had the opportunity to prove their worth such as PLAGE, FDA and dG and the two Swedish mix teams consisting of tG and fc players. But from recent experience I expect the Dota China team to surprise the most and quite possible qualify as well.” Dota China eliminated Lolboat from the 3rd Dota Masters Tournament, but I doubt this will happen again if these two teams meet again.
Drayich and the CRITTERS The well known Fat Controllers could not be in full formation for this weekend's mYm qualifiers as members are headbanging at the Sweden Rock Festival. Drayich made a mix team: 3 players from fC and another 3 Swedish players, among them afternoon, a player for the team Abys. They admitted, “We won’t be FC-strong but strong, I presume.” I expect this team to make a good run and qualify for the final tournament if they can get things running as a mix.
Where is the fish?
Quakenet’s #Gleen is here to go all the way. This team is filled with very good players from clan tG. They will form a very strong team and qualify for the final tournament. MrFisk, the clan leader of clan tG, changed his nickname to TheEel. I expect he will be eager to show off his new nick with a triple kill or beyond godlike streak.
Dota China
This new team impressed me in the recent Dota Masters Tournaments, and they have a good chance of going further if they concentrate. All the members of the clan are Chinese, and they are currently studying in Europe. Great skills on some of these players, but they lack experience against top teams. CN_DrAgOnPoWeR of DCN answered my question about the expectations they have on this tournament: ”Our expectation is to strengthen our skills by playing with the top teams in the world, of course we expect to go through the next stage”. If the bracket will allow them, I say DCN could just be the 4th team to qualify.
[PLAGE]
The German multi-gaming clan, [PLAGE] will try to prove its DotA division is one of Europe’s better teams. Consisting of mainly German players and two Croatians, this team needs a lot of concentration and a bit of luck to go to the next round. [PLAGE] player cYaInH3ll declared, “We didn’t practice much together in the past because 3 of us play for the German national team, so we didn’t have much time for clan practice, nevertheless we hope we make it past the first round.” I wish them good luck, it will be hard for them to advance.
