DOTA: Check Six releases DotA team

Once again a North American DotA team disbands while Check Six hopes to pursue other games
Check Six manager Cade Gwynn has recently announced their release of the Check Six DotA team. "We at Check Six appreciate everything the DOTA team has done but we are looking at new games on the horizon to participate in and decided to direct our efforts to those games. Also I think with the major roster changes that have incurred, we do not think the current group will have the dedication required to carry the name Check Six." Check-Six management has decided to end their sponsorship with the DotA team and will not sponsor another team in the future.

The Check Six DotA team recently placed third in the first season of TFL DotA. They have been seen defeating various top European teams like MYM. They have also taken place in Prime Defending Tournaments and HTGN Pro.

With names like JollyJoker, ezy and Swissbeatz, the team seemed to have a strong foundation. After roster changes and personal conflicts with former team members Yoda and Samurai, the team fell apart. These conflicts along with Check Six's new endeavors caused the release of this famed American team.

Once again another North American sponsored team disbands. With the lack of LAN tournaments and motivation, American teams seem to be struggling to hold together. This marks the fourth American sponsored DotA team that has disbanded following Complexity, JMC and Pandemic. Former Verge team, eMg is the only sponsored American team that is currently active.

Former Team Captain and long time DotA player, Thomas "JollyJoker" McDaniel has decided to quit DotA. JollyJoker was famous for being on almost all the sponsored American teams including complexity and Pandemic.

The Check Six DotA players did not release any future plans for their DotA careers. DotA in North America is struggling without any substantial tournaments unlike Europe with ASUS and Dreamhack. The first generation of sponsored DotA is gone, and players can only hope for events in the future.
