DOTA: Enigma and Rainwalker Interviewed

By: Neha Nair - Published September 01, 2007 at 8:23 AM EDT - Writer Archive
After leaving Team Excello, Enigma and Rainwalker have joined up with the newly formed team, Xero Skill.
Enigma and Rainwalker are both staff members for the prestigious DotA inhouse league, IHCS. Enigma is arguably one of the strongest players in Canada and normally plays solo/carry. Rainwalker used to be apart of TeG DotA and plays whatever role is needed for the team.

Just recently the two decided to part ways with one of North America's strongest teams, Excello. Both players were recruited by the newly formed team, XsK (Xero Skill). Enigma was friends with most of the XsK players and had conflicts with Excello. Rainwalker joined XsK due to friendships as well but also talked about time difference with Excello, "All the games where like at 3 am for me."

Team Excello has been around for a long time, starting under the iLLicit Gaming sponsorship. They later on switched to Enervate Gaming which is when Enigma joined. Rainwalker was fairly new to the team and decided to join XsK with Enigma.

XsK Gaming is a reformed team that consists of a mix of friends who mostly play IHCS games together. A lot of new teams are formed at the announcement of the next Prime Defending tournament and most don't last after it ends. Fortunately this is one team that plans to stick around and play seriously. "We will be staying for a while. However, for the sponsoring, we would like to accomplish something to prove the sponsors that we are worth it before looking for them." With players like Samurai, Fanat1c and Enigma; it is without a doubt that they have the potential of become a top tier team.
