Russia was caught using fake nicknames in the MYM Prime Nations tournament
The MYM Prime Nations lower bracket between Russia and Sweden ended with a bit of confusion. The MYM Admins had been informed, and found evidence that ARS-NOOB was not actually him, but someone else playing on his account. SeasonOfMist, a MYM Admin, commented on the issue saying, "It's not proven, what we have is serious doubts, backed by some evidence, that ARS-NOOB didn't play that game. After that we do not know who played instead."

Despite the opportunity for a rematch, SK.Drayich and the rest of Team Sweden decided to give the win to Russia. He commented that, "Russia was the better team this game, wasn't decisive what player was number five from them. (So, basically even if they DID cheat it wouldn't have mattered)."

One thing that SeasonOfMist wanted to make sure everyone understood was that he did not want to ban Russia this far along into the playoffs, he added," I, in NO CASE, agreed to have the Russians banned despite the pressure. The "match replayed" was the logical conclusion in that case, but I'm GLAD that Dray decided not to replay it. This way Russia still won, but they got caught for a small offense and got warned. No harm done, the tournament can proceed normally without any real e-drama. This was the idea. But If Sweden wanted a rematch, it was their right to do so."

Season_of_mist continues by saying that he would take full responsibility in the decision, and tells us, "I offered MYM army my resignation, I'm ready to take the blame, but I really think I did what's right for Russia, and for Sweden. But in no case I want this incident to befall on the MYM, so now it's for Army to decide."

MYM|Army, head DotA Admin, states that he agrees with the call by Season_of_mist. He explains, "I believe it was the right thing to do, based on the evidence found and at the same time the lack of evidence in this case. A disqualification would have been too strict due to the circumstances of the case, and omitting a punishment would have sent the wrong signal." He then goes on to tell us why the suspicion came about by saying, "There have been many requests from the professional dota community due to suspicions that a player - which has not played for a long time - has played an 'A gamine' in this game - or considerably better than normally - which led to the conclusion that the 3-teamplayers rule has been omitted.."

The finals between Denmark and Russia will be played shortly.
