It's New Years, what better way to conclude the day than to go emo reminiscing about all the memories I have from this weekend! So I'd like to start off thanking eMg, Ignite Network, Dust-Off and Matt Marcou specifically for running such a successful tournament. These small, intimate events are the kind of stepping stones DotA needed to becomes successful and this event definitely exceeded a lot of people's expectations.

The LAN center was a little smaller than I imagined but I think it was perfect, I feel like going back already...it's too bad I'm in New Jersey. I know I said it before but Ignite staff was amazing at this event. This was the first time they've held a competitive event in their venue and I definitely think they were happy with this experience. Thanks for all the smoothies and being so cooperative!

This weekend was definitely one of the best weekends of my life and there was just so many funny memories that I still can't stop laughing about. Even though I got ridiculously spoiled on my birthday and my cousins were over, I couldn't stop thinking about Chicago.

Day 4

This was the last day of the event and my team wasn't competing anymore so we folded away our PMS shirts and strolled into the event waiting for the Grand Finals. We all yelled at eMg.Whisper for forgetting his retarded fat kitty plush that we got him (wow, bad.) The lower bracket finals and grand finals were exciting to watch. Everyone stuck around either behind emg or mym, or sitting around the couches watching the projection screen.

It got more and more depressing because people started leaving throughout the night. My teammate's Eva and Jenny left early which was upsetting because I saw them the least out of the other girls. Then Caryl ended up leaving early too so once again it was the three musketeers; me, Michelle and Kristina.

After the grand finals mym and pandemic played an ardm and pandemic won! It was funny, because at first pandemic wanted to bet $1000 on it hahaha. The award ceremony was nice too, big checks, medals and lots of pictures! My team took a bunch by the Christmas tree and then with some of our friends! Some more video interviews were conducted featuring eMg, MYM, Pandemic and Transcendence, I'd recommend you all to watch them!

Most of the teams left after the award ceremony but my team stayed along with eMg until the LAN closed. We pretty much played footies all night with ignite staff and then we played a DotA, LAN competitors vs Ignite staff. It was fun I guess, I normally don't pub stomp ;). My team is fired for dying at least once though, because I didn't!
