Meet Your Makers has does it again, continuing to show their support for the competitive DotA scene, as they announce the MYM #9 tournament. Though the makers of the tournament is in fact MYM, Virtus.Pro treats this tournament series like their own. Winning the past three MYM tournaments, they are looking to continue their streak of dominance.

The PriDe tournament series is one of the largest online tournaments in the world today. With over 500 teams entering to try to make a name for themselves, this tournament is known to make some upsets.

The tournament format is set up to allow the different regions of the world to compete against each other. Teams signup on the MYM website, and are placed in the region they are from. Once the signups are over, qualifiers are held, and after these the true tournament starts.

Teams that wish to make the playoffs must go through a very extensive task. Not only do they have to pass the qualifiers, but they then have to finish in the top 2 of their group. Normally, there are 8 groups of 8 teams, meaning 6 teams from each group end their tournament here. The top 2 teams from each group join the playoffs.

There are seeds in the tournament, and these teams do not have to qualifier, and they are automatically put into group play. The seeded teams have not been available yet, but we will keep you updated.
