Hostile Tactics Gaming League's first ever DotA Season has just concluded with Emazing Gaming and Friends playing for the championship of the Pro divison.

As the Second season of HTGL.DotA is about to begin, the league has once again opened signups to join the league. Last Season, the outcome of teams was huge, and HTGL is looking to be one of the leagues many teams are wanting to compete in.

Tutorial to teach you how to register or join a team.

* Register an account in the HTGL website. Through this link you can register an account in the website. After you log with the account, you should see a menu with several options at the left of the Main Page.

* Go to "Register or Join a Team" in your menu. Once you're there, select "Warcraft III:DotA" in the dropdown list. You'll see all the divisions of DotA in HTGL.

* Press the "Open" link next to "Warcraft III: DotA: NA 5v5 Registrations. You'll be taken to the page where you'll join an existing team or create a new one.

* To Join a Team: Look for its name in the dropdown list, select it and type the Team Password given to you by the Team Captain or another member.

* To Register a Team: Fill the all the required data and select in which timezone you would like to be assigned. If you create a team you'll be the Team Captain in the system and the only one able to submit the results of a match. That's all!

Interview with Don0van

How did you feel about HTGL's first season of DotA, and what improvements or changes will be made in season 2?

I was overall pleased even with the problems in the last parts of the season when the admin team got reduced to one. In Season 2 we have planned several improvements with much more media coverage, interviews, and other interesting for the players and spectators. Also you will notice some changes in the rules.

There has been a little confusion about the prize pool in HTGL, can you clarify it?

When the first season got announced, the prize pool (the famous 15k) was for all the leagues in HTGL. So instead of saying the specific prizes for DotA the announce was talking about HTGL as a whole. Later in the season we published the prizes which you can see in the HTGL website, GotFrag, etc.

1st Place - 5x SteelSeries 5Hv2 headsets + 5x SteelSeries 5L Mousepads + 1 Nationvoice Ventrilo 25 slot server (location of there choice) free only for 30 days.

2nd Place - 5x Zboard MERC Keyboards + 5x SteelSeries QCK Mousepads + 1 Nationvoice Ventrilo 25 slot server (location of there choice) free only for 30 days

3rd Place - 5x SteelSeries QCK Mousepads + 1 Nationvoice Ventrilo 25 slot server (location of there choice) free only for 30 days

How do you think HTGL compares to other tournaments like the mym pride, TGL, CAL, etc?

Well, we are still building our name in the competitive scene. I think we have strong bases to become a well known league and hopefully a reference to talk when you are referring to the DotA scene. Also the division between NA and EU is an interesting variation to the Group Stages or regular season of most leagues and tournaments.

Can you describe the format of the league?

We will run 2 weeks of preseason to remove the inactive teams, etc. Then the regular season kicks in with 7 weeks (one game per week) in equally divided conferences. At the end the 4 top teams from each conference (to form a total of max 16 teams) will go to the Playoffs, which are Double Elimination Bo1 until the Semi-Final stages where changes to Bo3.

Do you have any predictions of the winners of season 2?

At this time no. We a have a selection of strong teams that hopefully will maintain the thrill until the end.

Thanks for your time, and good luck with the upcoming season.

Thank you for the interview!
