After initial problems during the group stages, the ESL Major Series finally found stable ground and moves into the playoffs.
The ESL Major Series for Defense of the Ancients was plagued with problems during its group stages. Several of the teams dropped out or were disqualified, leaving two of the groups playing head to head matches, only to determine seeds.
The only group with a "complete roster" was Group D. Switchback has won all of its matches, which elevated them to #1 seed. The rest of the three teams however, were caught up in a deadlock. They had to play several best-of-one- matches to determine who would advance to the playoffs.
After all the games, Nameless Gaming has finally pushed through and took a spot into bracket play. They take the number 6 seed, facing SK Gaming DotA.
This is the first season of the league, and despite the problems, the admins are hopeful that the second season will be run more smoothly, along with having more professional teams joining the tournament.
