The 2006 WEG Masters tournament wrapped up with two of the top teams in the World going head to head against one another in a best of three series. The defending WEG Season 3 Champions and number two ranked team in the World, wNv Gaming, took on the 2005 ESWC Champions and third ranked team in the World, compLexity. The Chinese team were the only undefeated team all tournament long, but was up against a very potent team in the Americans. Both wNv and compLexity swept their Semi Final opponents, Hacker Project and Catch Gamer respectively, en route to their Grand Final match up. With these two powerhouses facing one another, it is almost guaranteed that the winner will be vaulted into the number one position in the GotFrag World Rankings after SK Gaming's fall from glory.
