Trademark Gamers to have female Halo 2 squad! "If you're familiar with the competitive Halo scene you've without a doubt heard of Trademark Gamers' Halo 2 squad winning back to back Major League Gaming events and being the first team to beat the previously dominant Team3D. Today we, Tradermark Gamers, announce another major development in our Halo division, the addition of an all-girls team. This may seem odd to some of you, but Halo 2 is one of the most popular games for girls to play, and has a broad following in the female community. Never settling for anything but the best, TmG has brought in some of the most well-known, undeniably skilled girls. Part of the girl gaming organization known as PMS Clan will represent TmG at various MLG events across the country and are sure to raise our status as one of the elite Halo playing teams in the world. Their first event will be MLG Los Angeles [this coming weekend], where together with our guys they look to make an outstanding placement. With each girl hailing numerous individual and team play accomplishments, the Trademark Girls are ready to show the world what TmG is all about. Lelu, aka Sarah Nye, who was featured in Tips and Tricks Magazine in the May 2005 issue, is the first and only female to have placed top 32 (being eliminated in the quarterfinals) at an MLG Halo 2 Free For All. She also has compiled an impressive tournament resume with numerous top 32 finishes in the 4v4 [competition], with her best placement being 10th at last years MLG Seattle. Smileygirl, who is a stand-in for Mary Jane, got her first taste of the MLG action at MLG Las Vegas just a month ago, finishing top 24 in the 4v4. FoXy, aka Megan Eichmeier, has been to roughly every event this year, and doesn’t plan on stopping in the future. Her stops around the country include numerous top 32, top 16, and even top 10 finishes. Likewise, Brenda was very well known in the Halo 1 community, including a career best 9th place finish. We have seen FoXy and Brenda on similar teams throughout the year sharing many placements. Mary Jane, aka Shannon Ridge, is unfortunately not attending MLG LA but instead going to DigitalLife at that time. She was recently part of a feature article in the September 16th issue of Entertainment Weekly, and has an impressive tournament resume including a 6th place at CPL Dallas this year. We’re looking forward to a promising future with the Trademark Girls and can only wait to see how they finish at MLG Los Angeles this weekend." The fabulous line-up for the Trademark Girls Halo 2 team is as follows: Sarah "Lelu" Nye Shannon "Mary Jane" Ridge Megan "FoXy" Eichmeier Brenda Smileygirl (stand in for LA) |
