The WCG 2005 Grand Finals are fast approaching with Team3D in Singapore looking to take home the gold. The WCG Halo tournament will be filled with international unknowns, all looking to take down the favored Team3D. With most of the Halo community believing that Team3D is the best in the world, any upset that takes place against the American organization could be very bitter indeed.

Group A
Australia and the United Kingdom will surely go far in this group as they are the prominent countries of this group that have become known for their skilled gamers. With the UK being represented under the Four King banner, anything less but a win or at least a close finish for the lone Europeans would be a disappointment.
Group B
For Austria, it is the team H1RoX, for Portugal it is the PT_Slayers, for Mexico it is Demon5, and lastly for Germany it is butterbrot. This group should be interesting if only to see which country is more dominant; however, with as little history as there is on these teams, it is difficult to choose a favorite besides the country of Germany which has shown the ability to produce some of the top gamers in the world.
Group C
Once again this is another group of virtual unknowns to the international Halo community. Countries such as Croatia, Italy, and Korea are not known for their highly skilled FPS players. France on the other hand has had its share of top gamers. After defeating aAa in the French National Finals, Halo1Style can be said to be amongst the favorites of this group. Other teams in this group include Valpovo who is representing Croatia, Agony_Realm representing the Italians, and Zard representing Korea.
Group D
When one thinks of South American competitive gaming, Brazil would usually be the first country that comes to mind. Colombia, on the other hand, is very unknown in the international gaming scene. It will take perhaps a miracle or a little underestimation and luck for the Colombians to take home a win in what is considered the strongest group in the tournament. Along with the European countries of the Netherlands and Switzerland, this group features a strong Canadian team and a favored Team 3D of the United States. It is without a doubt easy to predict Team 3D as the next WCG Halo Champs. Anything else will bring nothing but upset and disbelief among the Halo community. Team 3D has countless MLG titles under their belt and plenty of chemistry considering they are brothers. Although it is hoped that Canada will have a good showing, it is my prediction that Team 3D will walk through this group and through the entire tournament.
