Halo 3: MLG Online Ladder Update 2/5

By: Michael Murray - Published February 06, 2008 at 1:16 PM EST - Writer Archive
Another week of competition has concluded and we have quite a few changes to the top 10.

Following last week's very close ranking, it seems as though the top teams are continuing their domination of the Major League Gaming online ladder as the top four have yet to be knocked from their perch.

Fatal Images and Under the Influence seem to be fighting neck and neck to take that number one spot, however Fatal Images seems to be getting their matches completed against bigger names, thus the larger XP gain.

A much needed addition to the top 10 this week is Str8 Rippin, the professional Halo 2 team that had won the 2007 Orlando stop this past season in the MLG. At 9th with a 34-1 record, they seem to be on track for a very low number of losses and a huge XP gain in the near future. Following closely behind is 10th place team Omnislayer, behind by only 1 XP point.

Let's take a look at this week's top 10 ranking:

There is plenty of time for these teams out of the top 10 to regain their composure and gain some XP, the whole idea here is to consistently not only play games but win at least 80% of them to be able to stay near the top. Look for some big games between big names in the coming week as top teams will be looking for that large XP boost from beating a large team.
