Halo 3: MLG Online Ladder #1 Final Update

By: Michael Murray - Published February 20, 2008 at 1:15 PM EST - Writer Archive
We are nearing the end of Ladder #1 and we have a likely team to win at the top of the rankings.

The first ladder of Major League Gaming's new seeding method is complete, and we see Str8 Rippin at the top of the ladder much like they have topped 2007 Pro Curcuit stops. Heating up is not the word for competition right now, it is boiling over as over 4,000 teams have fought to stay within the top 128 spots on the ladder, as only those teams will progress into the second stage of the ladder.

The top 10-14 have no worries getting into the playoff ladder, however they definitely would like to top off the first ladder to send a message to the rest of the teams. With the quality of teams playing, it will be hard for any other team to take these off of their perches. We see Str8 Rippin dominating some of the best ladder teams by over 150XP while we also see second place team Triggers Down 2 wins away from their 100th win in the first MLG Online ladder. That is one hell of a feat, to stay within the top 2 and win that many matches overall.

Here are the final rankings for the MLG 2008 Pro Circuit Ladder 1:

Final Boss still trails directly below the main competition which is rather impressive, although they can still be expected to be the favorites in this ladder. With the playoffs beginning soon, we see the 128 best teams determined to enter the playoff ladder and take a top seed.
