Bungie to release MLG Playlist.
USA - In an unprecedented display of cooperation with competitive gaming and MLG, Bungie is set to release a Major League Gaming Playlist. The playlist is a list of settings and maps used for the MLG Pro Circuit. The playlist will be replacing the Team Hardcore Playlist and will make available to over 3 million players the opportunity to play on professional maps with the same settings used by the pros. Below is an excerpt from the article announcing the cooperation between Bungie and the MLG.

It’s also a huge and humbling honor for us at MLG. We’ve worked hard to develop game types and settings that ensure fair competition and emphasize skill, and these settings have been adopted by competitors all over the world. To be recognized now as the standard for competitive play by Bungie is, well, pretty sick to say the least. We thank the millions of MLG competitors from all over the world for adopting these gametypes to begin with. None of this could have happened without you. -www.mlgpro.com

Along with this playlist, MLG's "Get Better Fast" content hopes to bring a whole new audience to professional gaming and help develop future professional gamers. The MLG and Bungie will be making an official announcement of the playlist in the coming weeks along with more details on the upcoming MLG Pro season opener at the Meadowlands in April.
