We are a mere week away from the first stop of the MLG 2008 Pro Circuit and we see a powerhouse emerging yet again online. Many have seen it coming as Str8 Rippin has been dominating their competition as of late. Team after team they progressed through the ladder play of the tournament, taking the number one seed. As if the number one seed out of over 2,000 teams weren't enough, they are dominating the top Halo 3 teams in convincing fashion each game.

On the road to the final rounds of this bracket, we saw a number of upsets in the Halo community. One major upset to note would be Final Boss's performance against team End Result in the lower bracket of the MLG online playoffs.


Not seeming like the Final Boss that we had seen in 2007, their seeding is very low this season prior to entering the tournament. For the first time in quite a few years, it seems as though we may be seeing Final Boss having to attend the open play to even get a seeding into the final bracket of the Meadowlands Pro Circuit stop. If Final Boss doesn't step it up from here, they may not last long enough in the game to be able to face their final boss.

We saw Team Classic fighting through the lower bracket as they fought team after team and wrecked the competition. Being a higher seeded team in the ladder portion of competition, they faced number two seeded Under the Influence in a very tough game. Being defeated in a very close 3-2 map series, Team Classic continued to break through and prove that they are one of the best Halo 3 teams in this bracket.


Taking out team AspeC by a score of 3-1 showed their dominance of Halo 3 as well as progressing them into the next round of competition against the Shady Halo Kids. Looking like another tough game, we could have seen a close score as the winner would be playing The Agency in the final round of lower bracket play.


Following their win against Shady Halo Kids, they were no match for the veterans The Agency in the lower bracket as they are knocked out in a 3-1 map series. Now a very strong Agency seems to be pulling ahead into the lower bracket finals against one of the top Halo 3 teams as of now, Triggers Down.

Entering one of the final rounds of competition, lets look at some of the biggest matches of the entire bracket this week.
