Meadowlands, NJ - We are 72 hours into the MLG Halo 3 competition in Meadowlands and we have new Halo 3 champions. Coming out of the lower bracket along with most of their competition, Final Boss was able to come out on top of the entire tournament to win the first stop of the 2008 MLG Pro Circuit. Coming straight out of a boot camp with the opposing team, Final Boss was able to build up some momentum and hold a lead through a number of maps.

Upset Of The Event #1
After being knocked into the lower bracket of open play rather early, End Result has been eliminated by Abusement Park in a very close series among many others. After gaining the series lead on Construct Team Slayer 50-48, the end would near for End Result as they proceeded to fall short in The Pit Team King in a very close 250-248 game. Game three would find End Result's run coming to a close as Abusement Park was able to take the win on Narrows Team Slayer with a score of 50-40.

Upset Of The Event #2
Str8 Rippin came into the event as THE single strongest Halo 3 team playing, and although having quite a bit of competition, they were eliminated more than halfway through the championship bracket. Although showing strong play in their matches before Final Boss and Carbon, they were not able to stand up to the power of these two veteran teams as ultimately Str8's days were numbered.

In an interesting turn of events, team Classic has been able to oust Carbon in the semi-finals of the upper bracket, taking their game 3 maps to 0 and advancing to the upper bracket finals.


Another upset at Meadowlands, Final Boss is taken out by Instinct in the semi-finals in a 3-1 map series. Although playing some strong games, Final Boss seemed to not pull off the shots they needed at the most important times with a weak sniper popping up on The Pit and Guardian.
