Stermy took an early 3 - 0 lead over zyz. Yet in the constant battles over the silver armour zyz snagged a kill and took the game to his lesser seeded opponents. Rarely allowing Stermy to regain control of the map he pulled 5 straight frags before then dropping a kill to Stermy. The this match was clearly going to be decided by how long each player could maintain his momentum and advantage after a kill. Stermy pulled two kills back, then zyz landed two kills to pull the game level at 7 - 7.

zyz picked up the gold armour and mega health and silver but was unable to use them to his advantage as Stermy landed four successive kills. zyz was finally able to grab the gold armour to begin clawing the score back to within three rounds at 9 - 12. In the final three minutes zyz managed to land two rockets to bring the scores ever closer, Stermy attempted to flee from zyz to at all engagements to preserve his 2 frag lead. With less than 50 seconds on the clock, zyz's aggressive attack worked against him and Stermy landed a kill that killed the game, final map score zyz 10 - 13 Stermy.

zyz landed an early stake in the second map as Stermy jumped down from the armour to take an early two frag lead. Stermy's shotgun quickly pulled the scores level in this close encounter at 2 - 2. The gold armour stand-off ended in zyz's favour as he took the lead once again and gained three quick kills. Stermy landed a stake to swing momentum back in his favour, and utilised that momentum to bring the scores back to 5 - 6. Zyz landed two quick kills with the shotgun and chinagun to edge three kills ahead.

The action was fast and the kills came accordingly. The players were evenly matched, Stermy seemed to have a slight edge on the aim and zyz definately had the superior movements. Half way through the game the scoe was tied at 9 - 9, a brilliant grenade/hammer combo by zyz pulled slightly ahead to 10 - 9 and he was able to capitalise upon his opponents lack of health/armour to gain an eight frag lead at 17 - 9 with less than five minutes to go.

Stermy was forced to recklessly pursue his opponent which played into his opponent' hands despite a kill in the final two minutes it was too little too late to mount a significant challenge to win the map. Final score: Stermy 12 - 19 SK¦Zyz

The final game in this epic three-map encounter took place on dm_psycho. This was a much slower affair with zyz taking up a position covering the staircase early on until finally getting the first kill in the 4th minute, then capitalising upon the momentum once again to pull four frags ahead. Stermy grabbed the gold armour in the 6th minute and killed zyz. Taking a quick spawn kill the game was pulled back to 4 - 2. Despite the small map choice the game was slow-paced and relatively dull, zyz's intelligent, yet fast movement pulled him ahead at 17 - 5.

zyz will play Zaccubus in the lower bracket final who pulled off a shock 3-map upset of fnatic's ztrider to advance into the top four.
