The CPL has announced Singapore as the alternate location for the World Tour Stop planned for China. The stop will be held October 13th through the 16th at The Pandang in the heart of Singapore’s business district. This stop starts a three week blitz of World Tour stops as the last few players who need to qualify attempt to do so and those who have already qualified jockey for higher seeds. CPL Milan, the replacement for a cancelled CPL Germany, is the following weekend (20th to the 23rd) and the final WT stop in Chile is at the end of October from the 28th to the 30th. This fast paced schedule will be hard on the players, but should open up opportunities to players lower on the totem pole due to the strenuous traveling required to attend all three stops. While not much is known about the Singapore WT stop, the CPL plans on releasing more details shortly. Current CPL WT rankings: 295 Sander Kaasjager (fnatic.Vo0) 260 Johnathan Wendel (Fatal1ty) 243 Benjamin Bohrmann (SK|zyz) 218 Alessandro Avallone (Stermy) 194 Stephan Lammert (SK|SteLam) 190 Alexander Ingarv (Ztrider) 173 Andrew Ryder (Gellehsak) 160 David Treacy (zaccubus) 150 Nicola Geretti (forrest) 142 Sean Price (daler) 139 Alexey Nesterov (LeXeR) 139 Mark Larsen (wombat) 120 Fredrik Edesater (Aim) 113 Vincenzo Daurelio (play.it*booms) 102 Viktor Liljeblad (d.worre) 87 Brian Grapatin (nts`zen) 84 Carlos Cid (dj) 81 Riccardo Zanocchio (play.it*vicious) 78 Christian Dotzki (deatz) 58 Niels Van Tilborg (zhrance)* * not qualified for the WT Finals Qualified but not in the Top 20 56 Deniz Kalkmann (reptile) 53 Antti Tolvanen (FC-Gaming Rat) 52 Christian Lains (CLains) 31 Joakim Malmquist (Radical) Press release on the next page: Page:

i am not saying they dont have comp's... friendly comment :)
...idiots.
The location must be a mistake, because that place is a GRASS FIELD.
#6 - I think you never been to Singapore? There is even Television at our buses and wireless internet at most of the cafes and like mcdonald
Just trying to correct some people
The television in the buses is a joke anyway. The shows suck, and the signal gets interrupted like crazy, and is unwanted noise.
there are tonnes of other places in Singapore that wont require building that tent. GG when it rains, cos when it rains it pours! i've been there!
even though the Padang is in the CBD, its kinda outta the CBD. people walk past there from a distance but no one really walks past right next to it. but its near hotels and food. Oh and can you say.. PORTA LOOs? :P
CPL could have booked Raffles, like the OIC did, or use Suntec, like WCG. Or even the space in front of Taka
We could have used other venues, Suntec, etc but instead we are doing things differently. "Viva La Difference"
By the way the dates are also wrong on this release the Singapore World Tour stop will take place Friday, October 14 through Sunday, October 16, 2005.
Just to let those coming to know, its gonna be a wet event with pre-monsoon "sudden rain".
gl hf guys
oh and #29 what's up with that China flag since you're an american
