Andrew "gellehsak" Ryder probably provided the biggest upset of the tournament yesterday by defeating United States

Johnathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel. Ryder is a top player with lots of skill and has been a consistent top finisher at all the CPL World Tour events. However, he managed to take down the one and only Fatal1ty who's only other losses since the CPL USA stop has been against Netherlands

Sander "Vo0" Kaasjager. In fact, before yesterdays defeat, Wendel has only lost twice to someone not named Vo0 all World Tour long. And those were against Germany

Benjamin "zyz" Bohrmann in Turkey, Italy

Alessandro "stermy" Avallone in Brazil. Ryder will now have to take on Bohrmann in the Upper Bracket Semi Finals and Wendel will have to claw his way back, starting against Italy

Nicola "Forrest Geretti.

A victory by gellehsak will guarantee an all fnatic Upper Bracket final as both his teammates Vo0 and Alexander "ztrider" Ingarv will be facing each other in the other semi final match. Matches will re-commence at 9:00am EST, stay tuned to GotFrag for all the score updates.

dont forget quake 4 is out and fatal1ty has most likely been practicing that for cpl winter

So he'd rather give up the shot at $15,000 at this tournament and $150,000 at the World Tour finals to practice Quake 4? He'll still have 2 months (at least, depending on when the first stop is) after the WT Finals before the first Quake 4 stop, and knowing Fatal1ty, that's plenty of time.

haha, how has fatal1ty been practicing quake 4 when hes been on the road with the tour for the last 3 weeks since its been out? :)
