Wombat came into the tournament a ten seed after a fairly solid performance at most of the world tour stops. Rat came in seeded 23rd.


Mark "Wombat" Larson started off the first map with a commanding 12-0 run. He seemed to be on his way to dominate this match and move on to the second round. Suddenly a few seconds after Mark's 12th frag, Rat answered back with his first frag. This frag was followed by 7 more by Rat before Wombat was finally able to answer back with another run of his own. From this point forward it was a see saw battle until the end. Mark spent the last minute of the map running to hold his lead but in the process was able to claim 4 more frags making the final score 23-13 in Wombat's favor for the first map.

The second map started with Rat claiming the first frag but it was all downhill for Rat from this point forward. Wombat immediately responded with a frag of his own to even the scoreboard and from this point was able to completely control the gold armor to go on a 7-0 run. Rat then answered back with two frags of his own but quickly lost control and fragged himself twice. From this point forward it was all Wombat as he clenched the victory with a commanding 12-1 win.
