The last time these two players met was at the last World Tour Stop in Chile. After the dust settled gellehsak came out on top and proceeded to make his way to the finals where he fell short to Ztrider.

Even after the impressive finish in Chile, these two players end up squaring off rather early on in New York. The Quarter Finals set up this match and the question was would the outcome be the same?

The gellehsak vs zyz match looked to be complete and total domination in the first map as Zyz got off to a controlling 11-0 lead. gellehsak simply could not get anything to work. Zyz had complete control of the gold armor and wherever gellehsak went it seemed Zyz was there to counter him and come out on top with the frag. With very little time remaining the momentum in the match took a dramatic change. There were about 2 minutes to go Zyz had a 15-2 lead as gellehsak made an astounding come back. He went on a 12-0 run and with 10 seconds remaining scored his 14th frag. He had Zyz in his sites with 5 seconds to go and was able to get Zyz to about half health when time ran out and he came up a little short.

Going into the second map it appeared gellehsak had the momentum and would continue his fragging spree, but that was not the case. Zyz came back strong and completely dominated the second map. Zyz started off with a huge lead again and this time he never let up. He pounded gellehsak and now Zyz advances to the semis while gellehsak will have battle his way up from the lower bracket.
