PainKiller: Vo0 vs. Fat in classic showdown

By: Philip Yoe - Published November 22, 2005 at 3:46 PM EST - Writer Archive
And here we are. The culmination of months of work practice, heartache, success, failure, and anticipation is just moments away.
The two biggest names in the one versus one scene, Sander “Vo0” Kaasjager and Johnathan “Fatal1ty” Wendel, meet once again to fight over a large sum of money. Up for grabs is one hundred and fifty thousand dollars, not a bad paycheck for a years worth of work, and the title of the first CPL World Tour Champion. Both Kaasjager and Wendel came into the finals with their stock selling slightly lower, as Kaasjager’s teammates Andrew "gellehsak" Ryder and Alexander "Ztrider" Ingarv rode their way to a 1,2,3 fnatic sweep of CPL Chile. However, they have shaken off their Chile performance and now are set to replay this classic match up one last time. Fatal1ty will have a tough road to win as he will be coming from the Lower Bracket. This forces him to have to win four maps in order to win the Championship. He was sent to the Lower Bracket by Vo0 in the Upper Bracket Finals.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 6:12pm EST with MTV Overdrive starting their stream at 5:40pm EST.

Full tournament brackets can also be viewed here.
