Johnathan Wendel (Fatal1ty) win CPL Summer 2005 World Tour!

Fatal1ty crusied through the final matches with impressive control. VoO got off to a quick start getting seven frags early in the round. Fatal1ty answered back with an 11-0 run, then switched to clock managment to stall out the game. VoO made a run with four more frags, but Fatal1ty got in a quick frag to seal the first map 12-11.

The next map was all Fatal1ty who quickly dominated running up 22 frags in a row against a reeling VoO. After some great clock work by Fatal1ty, VoO ran out of time. He made an impressive 16-4 run in the final nine minutes, but it was too little too late.

fat got gayed that first game by the two spawns right in front of vo0. that telefrag just evened it out :x

hardly. Spawnraping is one thing but that telefrag stopped vo0's comeback cold and probably cost him the game.

Fata1ty gets 5x the price that an SK player for for winning CPL for CS.

These individual games pay bigtime no wonder fatal1ty doesn't play cs even tho he would do very well on it.

yea i think fatal1ty with some work could be on team3d or coL. he's just too good and has too good of work ethic to not make it to the top of any game he tries.

i'm wondering if this monotony of vo0 vs fat will get switched up when quake 4 rolls around....

#28 probably not because all the great q3 players will be switching to q4, so vo0 will go back to being just a mediocre player

#30 so you're saying Vo0 was a mediocre player at Q3? You're an idiot.

#32 cuz he never played q3, but cpma. (in which he was pretty good i think ?)

dont say he would have been the master of q3 if he'd played it, but i guess that if he concentrated on q3 in that time as much as he now does on painkiller i think he would have been pretty good also.

people only started playing PK for the prize money :\ dont know anyone that plays multiplayer for fun. So i guess theres way less competition in PK.

Just my opinion, no offence to pk players.

Heh, I'll give my left nut to see the day that Zero4 goes up against Fatal1ty in a Quake 4 finals match.

And VoO did play CPM and not much regular Q3 that I am aware of and he was a beast. And yes, with his current experience and work ethic I'm sure he'll be good at Q4 but I doubt he'll be nearly as good due to the speed differences in games. Q4 will be to slow and since he has always played CPM and now PK Q4 will be like going back to training wheels and the others who have taken Q3 to an art form dominate at least initially. Gaming, like any other "sport", always gains new faces though.
