GotFrag.com is the greatest. But then again, I run the business operations for the site, so I'm probably biased. To all of you who frequent this site, thank you for participating in our community and making it a great place to work, post, and be passionate about the topics which we all love. So who am i? Not a very interesting question, but I'll answer it by first talking about GotFrag. I used to be in [rdw] with Coene, Critikal and Joeker--I warmed the bench more than anything else, but it was a great group of people. The original inception of this site was actually done on the website for [rdw] which I maintained. Joe and Crit did all the work on it for that CPL, and it was a monster success. Coene, being a code-god and process genius, decided that the html monkey madness that they were doing to post the content just wasn't modern enough. Enter Trevor "Midway" Schmidt. Witness the bigbang. Coene called me, knowing that I was a startup junkie and asked if I might be willing to spend some time working on the site and helping to define some business directions. I agreed, loving the idea of an ESPN for eSports. Proceed forward a few years, and here we are today. Today, my job has nothing to do with putting up content--it never really has, except for the fact that my job is to define the strategic direction, implement the business models and practices and form the business relationships which enable our writers, editors and contributers, as well as our adoring readers to grow our community. I believe in eSports with a fanaticism which is probably a little unhealthy, but it's really not my fault. It's probably in my genes or something. |
