Israel has tried negotiating for so long, with Hamas, with the surrounding Arab governments, and when the UN steps in, it does nothing to help. The frequent suicide bombers, rock throwing, missile attacks, probably got really annoying when ever Israel was trying to negotiate. How do you expect to trust a contract with another country or organization (shouldn't even call Hamas that - it IS a terrorist group) when they keep attacking you during negotiations?
Finally, Israel has decided that no one is helping it anymore, and that it needs to take action for itself.
