The World eSports Games will see the debut of a brand new video delivery system from Esport.org. The website debuts in conjunction with the kick off of the WEG Masters event in Hangzhou, China. Eight top gaming teams in Counter-Strike and players in Warcraft III have congregated in China for a shot of $152,000 USD in prizes. Esport.org has unveiled its new technology today based off the Octoshape engine, which brings "unprecedented, crystal-clear coverage of the WEG Masters via the Internet." An unlimited number of viewers will be able to watch this video with quality settings 450kb/s to 750kb/s.

�The video quality is stunning,� said Mark Barthelemy, Vice President of World Esports Games, Inc. �Our fans are in for a real treat - they�re going to be able to tune into the action like never before. WEG actively seeks partners committed to raising the bar in esports broadcasting, and that�s exactly what esport.org�s newest solution is all about.�

Esport.org uses the engine developed by Danish technology company, Octoshape. This engine allows for viewers to watch the stream through a peer to peer network, similar to that of Bit Torrents. This technology should allow for an unlimited number of viewers while maintaining high quality video with minimal bandwidth costs. As stated, the debut of this technology comes with the start of the WEG Masters event. Both of GotFrag's on-site staff, Trevor "Midway" Schmidt and Mark "jESUIT" Cheben, will be providing live shoutcasting and color commentary coverage, so be sure to check out Esport.org. Mine buffers every 2 seconds, not worth installing at this point in time.

"The video quality is stunning" .. almost as stunning as an hltv that everyone in the world can watch. not just me being from the united states, but everyone in any continent that doesnt have to watch this stream that stops every 5 seconds.

very good coverage in my opinion, had a few stages of lag but nothing major. quality of video was much better than previous vbcasts/TVSN casts, and midways and jesuits commentating was enjoyable to listen to. gotta love midway shouting his lungs out about how good jungle was lol.

I liked it. The buffering is a bit annoying but I dont think �that any coverage-site can afford the equipment to provide it completely without any lags.
Midway and jesuit did a great job, though jesuit seemed close to death in the last map of coL vs. virtus.pro ;)

i advice u guys to boycot this crappy event cause of the coverage and wait for them to realize there are dumb and give us HLTV like every common professional events...

Esport.org were just as surprised as we were when the issues started, and they were able to pinpoint the issue to 20 downed servers on the USA west cost managed by one of THEIR partners. Unfortunately at the time it was 6am on the west coast, obviously not an easy time of day to get a hold of the right people to start cranking away on downed servers.

Until the issues started, I was getting a steady stream at 444kbps. Absolutely crystal clear picture for well over 2 hours. Hopefully the issue has been resolved and esport.org will be good to go for today's Wacraft 3 matches.

We want systems in place that will allow as many people as possible to enjoy our matches, and esport.org' will help us do that. Sure, when it didn't work last night it was frustrating, but remember, we've gotta take some risks if we're going to push this industry forward. We hope you guys stick with us while our partners work out the kinks, because we've got a lot of fantastic action ahead of us.

It's worth tuning in for Midway and Jesuit's announcing alone, those guys are doing an absolutely stellar job!

Fix the lag issues and that would be great...

Hello Guys,

We are sorry for the probles last night, we last ALL our relay servers in US last night;/.
Due to limited time to prepare setup and internet we ran into problems we could not forseen.
We are working to fix it during the weekend and should be up and running at full capacity on monday
we hope, During saturday and sunday we hope to atleast reach 50% capactiy and deliver 1 of the streams with no problems.

We hope for your understanding and that very soon this will be solved.

o, so no audio at all when the matches arent live? i saw some commentators saying something, but no audio then either

downloaded latest k-lite codec pack and it fixed it

i had a really good period during the sk v wnv match on train where there was no buffering but the rest of the time it was horrible, it was dissapointing because what i did get to hear and see of the cast it was good.

When will the VOD's on demand start working? I'm sure I speak for a lot of other people when I say I didn't get to see all the WEG CS matches today and would like to be able to check them out before the next rounds.

Why don�t you just let some professionals handle the broadcast instead, Vesslan and their crew has never managed to broadcast something viewable or hear able for that matter. Crap site, Crap video, crap sound, no sync sound, or no sound, commentator sound with no compressors(my god, simple amateurs). Hopefully this is the last time vesslan gets involved in stuff he don�t know crap about. Stick to what you know, play games...
