Really, which ones?

#13 That was wrong as well. Just like "ESEA Pro Teams" participating in any league or tournament using ESEA's AntiCheat. Their teams being caught cheating or doing something wrong would be as big of a black eye to ESEA as it would be to the team itself.
By implying Fatality may have an advantage in WSVG events you're saying that, f.e SK dominance in 2003 was possibly because of Intel sponsoring them, thus they might have received better seeding in CPL and ESWC championships than they should have had; Or that Vo0's dominance in last year WT was affected by Intel and nVidia sponsorship of Fnatic rather than his own abilities.
I _agree_ it isn't the healthiest way for the sport to develop, with sponsors involved with both tournaments and teams. However the current situation isn't much different than what has been going during the course of the last years. Jonathan is sponsored by Fatal1ty brand, which happened to also partner with the WSVG. Its not like the man himself sponsors WSVG.
Its a double edged sword indeed, however until companies like Pizza Hut start blowing money in more tournament's way we'll have to settle with this. And at least at the moment, I think the participating players can sleep tight and dispose any conspiracy theories they may have thought of following this announcement.
Answer me this:
1. All teams sponsored by Intel get exited early from this tournament and disband (not going to happen, but it's hypothetical). Where is Intel? Are they really harmed in any way? No.
2. Fatal1ty is exited early from this tournament (and future WSVG tournaments)....say he becomes the laughing stock of Quake4 (again, most likely not to happen...). Where does this leave Fata1lty brand? Dead. His brand requires his success....WSVG's partnership with Fatal1ty hinders on the companies success (which, already stated, relies on his gaming success).
They are two separate things...Intel sponsoring teams is great....Intel sponsoring tournaments is great....Fatal1ty sponsoring (or whatever this is) tournaments is great.........I think once you are a major reason for the events existence, you either have to stop sponsoring competitors or have those competitors unable to participate in the sponsored events. None of these event situations is more glaring than ESEA's AntiCheat in the V2R (or whatever it is) tournament AND it's use in CAL (with "ESEA PRO" teams participating). I'm not saying the people involved are dishonest....but situations like this should be avoided at all costs.
