Finals Held in Front of 130,000 People at Computex The KODE5 Fox Hunt invited gamers from around the world to vote for their favorite of 6 Taiwanese gaming teams over two week period. In the end, Cyzak3n, ECM.Female, and S.O.S received the lion’s share of the votes, and during the first two days were filled with competitive gaming, courtesy of Taiwan’s top 3 female gaming teams. The scores after two days of competition were: Cyzak3n = 26 points ECM.Female = 33 points S.O.S = 31 points With Cyzak3n eliminated, it was up to ECM.Female and S.O.S to battle for the first place prize on Saturday. In the end, ECM.Female managed to trample over S.O.S with a final score of 8-2, and got to walk away with a check for $30,000 NTD, courtesy of Foxconn. S.O.S received the $12,000 NTD second-place prize for their efforts. Having lost their first match up against FF, FSK rallied to battle their way back from the loser’s bracket, earning the right to face FF once more to determine the champion. Of course, they would have to win two matches in a row in order to be declared the winner. Of course, Computex isn’t all about gaming, with the girls from Foxconn handing out giveaways and Corsair Memory coming around to entertain the crowd at half-time. With thumping music and amazing dance skills, the excitement in the crowd reached a fever-pitch. As the KODE5 Taiwan Counter-Strike Finals got under way, FF could feel their momentum slipping away as FSK managed to beat FF 16-10 on de_train, forcing another match up to determine the winner. In the end, FSK dug down deep and continued their winning streak, defeating FF on de_nuke 16-11, and claiming the title as KODE5 Taiwan Counter-Strike Champions.
