USA (GotFrag) - The World Series of Video Games All-Star Festival online qualifiers, hosted by CEVO, wrap up tonight with several key matches. The qualifiers are being held to select a winner from 128 CS teams and 128 Quake players. Those winners will face the WSVG 2006 Champions, crowned in New York City just weeks ago, in an All-Star Festival at the International Consumer Electronics Show on January 8-11 in Las Vegas.

The winner of the Counter Strike qualifier will face Alternate Attax and the winner of the Quake competition will face the ominous Johan "toxic" Quick at the festival with all expenses paid by the WSVG. The festival will also include an interactive entertainment area with games, celebrity gamers, exec speakers and more presented by WSVG sponsors.

In the Counter Strike semi-finals, group A winner zEx faces the group B champ in Missing in Action. Group A included teams X3O, Flow, Confederacy and more. Group B with teams including Mug N Mouse, Talent, Shockwave, Snowmen and others. In the second matchup of the semi-finals, group C winner Meepins takes on group D winner Apush. The winners of these two matches will face off later in the evening to decide which team will face Alternate Attax in the All-Star Festival.

Update: Pandemic team owner, Mark Dolven has informed GotFrag that Alternate Attax will not be able to attend the All-Star Festival and Pandemic will take thier place in the festival. The winner of the qualifier will now face Pandemic at CES in Las Vegas.


Eight players, including Clamp-ok, griffin, LoSt-CaUsE, Bane and others also go to battle in the Quake qualifier tonight. LoSt-CaUsE and griffin sit atop the semi final bracket awaiting opponents. Clamp-ok will face either Pozi or Luka and Bane will face either Troy or Clown to decide who joins the others in the semi-finals of the Quake IV competition. All matches are scheduled to finish tonight and the winner will go to meet thier fate against Toxic in Vegas.
