Zechs sits down with aKuJii of the 4kings in this edition of "Behind the Gamer." ![]() Name: Keir McCann Age: 24 Location: Bolton, UK Current Team: 4Kings Previous Teams: Infinity-eSports, imminent that I can remember ;O Scrap the boring introductory stuff, what's your most memorable experience related to gaming? Probably the whole WEG season experience. It was absolutely amazing considering the press we got coming into the event and people asking why the hell we had been invited. Then in our first game we lost to Abitstrike on D2 who we were totally unprepared for and in our second game had to beat CPL winners (on which at the time was their strongest map (de_inferno)) NOA to stay in the tournament, which we did comfortably regardless of the score. After that we powered through the tournament and were a real force for everyone we played and practiced against so that was a really good experience in general. It was an added bonus that for some reason the Korean people seemed to love me. It was totally random having so many fans and a great experience that will never be beaten. The final was somewhat disappointing having not our full strength team however snajdan was awesome on dust2 and carried us through it; however, I do feel if we had played with the team which we practiced with for 2 months with we would have beaten them. One of the most satisfying things after returning to 3 WEG finals was that there has never been a final that has been on a greater magnitude than WEG season 1, for fans coverage and pretty much everything! And your most memorable in-game moment? I don’t know really I guess I have a few. I really pulled us through a game on dust2 vs Abitstrike, for some reason I always played my best against them, and really came up big in a lot of rounds to keep us in the game and eventually win it for us, so that felt really good because we would have been out of WEG season 1. The most memorable moment was after being 14-5 up against NoA and NoA clawing it back to 14-13 we won our final 2 rounds with a "10 flash b tactic rush" on inferno which I had never heard of but worked a treat I can tell you! What do you do when you're not playing CS? Are there any other games keeping you busy? Nah I really play no other games other than CS. I devote whatever time I have at my Intel Core 2 Duo Extreme Edition (hehe) PC to playing it. The only other game I would even consider playing is Pro Evolution 6 with my friends at the weekends but even that doesn't happen very often. Never really found a game that has the appeal of CS so I end up turning any new ones off after 5 minutes tops! Let's step away from gaming all together for a moment. What do you do away from the PC? Well away from the PC I'm a totally different person. I have a really active social life living in a house with 5 of my friends who have little comprehension of what Counter-Strike is so when I'm not playing I'm either drinking or socializing in some way. Other than that I love Glasgow Celtic and was in Scotland just the other night to see Celtic stuff, Manchester United was quite something! Ok, to finish off this section, let's have a few quick-fire questions: Favorite food? If I was in a restaurant I'd go for a Chinese and get Chilli Fried Beef if it was take away I'd go for Chicken Tikka Samba from an Indian! Favorite female celebrity? Tough one, my all time favorite Heidi Klum. Favorite movie? Braveheart (slight bias) so the others are Usual Suspects, Pulp Fiction to name a few. Favorite album? Oasis - Definitely Maybe Sporting hero? Henrik Larsson And, of course, favorite booze? Stella Artois Page:
