NEW YORK – April 19, 2007 – The World Series of Video Games, Presented by Intel (WSVG), the world circuit of video game tournaments, announced today that a vote will be held for interested gamers to select a console game of its choosing as one of the competition titles. This “Player’s Choice” will rely upon community votes at the WSVG website: http://www.thewsvg.com. The winning game will be featured as a competition title at the Dallas event with a $10,000 purse up for grabs.

Initially, “Halo 2” was selected as a featured competition title for the Dallas event, but subsequent community feedback has suggested many fans may prefer an alternate competition title at the event, instead.

To ensure that the title with the most community support is ultimately selected, four choices are being put to a vote in a virtual horse race, and the winner will be announced on Saturday, April 28th:

* “Gears of War”
* “Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2”
* “Halo 2”
* “Rainbow Six: Vegas”

Voters will have until Friday, April 27th at 12 p.m. noon EDT to register their votes for a preferred title at the event. Nearly $100,000 in cash prizes will be distributed in Dallas, with featured titles including “World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade,” and “Call of Duty 2.”
