Registration for Dallas event also goes live on the website. In a new twist to this season’s competitions, winners from each event will win points based on their performance in each city, in effect earning a seeding for future events, much as competitors place positions in NASCAR or Formula One Racing for future races. The World Series of Video Games “tour points” will be awarded to players based on their final official placement at each event, to apply to future events. The top four finishers from each event will also receive travel bonuses to compete at the next tour event. At the end of the last tour event, the players with the top eight point totals will be invited to the finals. Tour Points are applied in the following manner: * 1st place: 1000 Points * 2nd place: 900 Points * 3rd place: 825 Points * 4th place: 750 Points * 5th place: 700 Points * 6th place: 650 Points * 7th place: 600 Points * 8th place: 550 Points * 9th - 12th place: 450 Points * 13th - 16th place: 350 Points * 17th - 24th place: 250 Points * 25th - 32nd place: 150 Points For specific gameplay rules for each of the titles featured in this season’s competitions, please visit the official website at http://www.thewsvg.com.
