The top 8 players emerge from the 2nd group rounds and will play the single-elimination brackets tomorrow. The top two players from each group advanced out of the 24 original players who managed to make it out of the first group rounds. Top favorites June "Lyn" Park, Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen and Olav "Creolophus" Undheim all took a spot for themselves, along with former champion Jae Wook "Lucifer" Noh. Old-school Human player Zdravko "Insomnia" Georgiev got into the top 8 as well, followed by top Korean elf Seong Deok "SoJu" Lee and Chinese player Yanchao "Lyc" Lu. Brazilian player Bernardo "PaTo" Rodrigues managed to take a spot for himself, probably the player least expected to make it this far.
