The group drawing for the World Cyber Games 2007 is live.

Counterstrike 1.6

The official selection process is now over. A total of forty-five teams have been put into eight different groups. According to the rules, the winner and runner-up of each group qualify for the single elimination phase.

Defending champion PGSPokerStrategy.com will have a hard time to qualify for the next stage as it has been placed in the same group as teams like Evil Geniuses or KPOBb.

The American squad will likely have an easy route to cruise to the next phase. Only A-Gaming from Ukraine seems to have the potential to put up a good fight against the team that comes from the United States.

Group D seems to be stacked, with teams such as the German national squad or wNv.cn having to meet sides coming from Romania, Spain and Slovakia.

However, Group G seems to be the most interesting due to the presence of several topnotch teams, such as fnatic, g3nerationX, 4Kings and the South Korean representative.

Stay tuned for a post-selection reaction from GotFrag, who will be breaking down the groups with winners and losers.
