All Games: KODE5 announces UK stop

By: Luis Mira - Published September 10, 2007 at 9:35 AM EDT - Writer Archive
KODE5 has announced its fifth regional event, this time in the United Kingdom.
Organised by Elysium Gaming, a company with over 6 years of experience in working with and creating gaming communities, KODE5 UK's selected games are Counter-Strike: 1.6 and Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne.

The tournament will take place from October 20th-21st at the Infinity-Gaming 4 event, whose venue will be the Omega Sektor in Birmingham.

KODE5 is pleased to have announced an event in the United Kingdom and believes that the partnership with Elysium Gaming will bring joy to the local gamers.

"Around the world, gaming is quickly moving from hobby to lifestyle,” said Lester Lau, KODE5 Revolutionary-in-Command.

"Working with Elysium Gaming on KODE5 UK will show gamers just what this lifestyle can be like. I wish the best of luck to all attending KODE5 UK!”

To participate in the event, gamers and teams have to register a KODE5 account and sign up on the Infinity-Gaming website.

This is the fifth stop in the KODE5 2007 season, after the announcements of tournaments in Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands and Romania.

#3 Who says that there wont be a KODE5 USA? We had KODE5 USA last year and I really see no reason why we should not do it this year again. Keep on checking www.KODE5.com for more Qualifiers which will be announced really soon.

#4 more people still play 1.6...just because 3D and coL sold out doesn't mean the rest of the community did too...there are still some damn good teams out there that can compete...

#5 what great teams have come out of the uk?

ever?

4k was terribly overrated...dignitas is alright but i wouldn't bet against x3o, eMg, or turmoil in a match against them...and what's going to happen to them when their manager leaves for the cgs?

at eswc 2007 turmoil had to beat estro to get out of the first group stage, and they were a favorite to win the event...they tied nip and played fnatic and alternate attax tight in the second group stage...

it's not like we've got a team that can compete for top 3 at every event but we can still compete...
