Los Angeles (US) - The Championship Gaming Series' first season comes to a grand finale over the next two weeks as the 2007 CGS World Finals get underway Thursday December 6 at the Sony Studios in Los Angeles, California. * Eleven of the league's sixteen franchises, from six regions of the world, are gathered in L.A. to compete in the CGS Worlds for over $1,000,000 in cold hard cash. A culmination of seven months of a whirlwind inception, qualifiers, combines, drafts and regular season play is about to unfold for the rookie league. The event will also include an individual championship for each of the official CGS games in the 2007 CGS Individual Finals and a WoW 2v2 Championship. The World Final event is set to be broadcast on television by DIRECTV’s The 101 in the U.S., BSkyB’s Sky One, Sky Two and Sky HD in the UK, ESPN STAR Sports in Asia, SKY in Mexico and Brazil, DIRECTV throughout the rest of Latin America, and across mainland Europe via additional soon-to-be confirmed broadcast partners according to the CGS. Seating is still available for the live event through the CGS website. The Individual Finals and the WoW 2v2 Championship will be webcast at www.thecgs.com.
