All Games: GGL Announces 2007 Players of the Year

By: Chris Kennedy - Published February 13, 2008 at 8:02 PM EST - Writer Archive
GGL has posted their Players of the Year for 3 games as voted on by the gaming press.
The Global Gaming League has released the list of Players of the Year and Revelations of the Year (akin to biggest surprise) for 2007 as voted on by a multitude of international gaming sites. The games included in the tally were Counter-Strike 1.6, Warcraft 3, and Quake 4. The full list can be found below, with winners in bold.

MYM's Neo beat out 14 other nominees for his award, including two of his own teammates. Fnatic was also well represented, with all 3 of their players nominated receiving votes, including last year's winner f0rest. The former 4Kings Warcraft III player, Creolophus, joins mSx of France's emuLate as the only players on the list who received votes in 2 different categories, with both tying our winning outright in the Revelation category for their respective games. The list was dominated by international players, with few Americans even being nominated, and is notable for the diversity of the winners, with each being from a different country.
