ESWC releases information on its 2008 ESWC Masters event.
Details for the ESWC Masters tournament were released today on ESWC's website. The Masters is a qualifying tournament where "selected international champions" will compete in various tournaments for cash prizes as well as auto-berths in the 2008 ESWC Grand Finals event.

The tournament will be held July 4th-6th, 2008 in Paris, France as part of the "Mondial du Gaming" international gaming show.

The method of team selection is interesting as it appears that an application process will be utilized to select international competitors. Also, each event has a number of teams that are required to be from France, the host country, and they will be chosen based solely on the ESWC France rankings on June 4th.
