Vote for the Continental e-Sports All Stars!

- The 1st e-Sports Continental Cup (Team East vs. Team West)
- Vote for the Continental Representatives from March 21 ~ April 20
- Meet World Top Gamers in Seoul

[March 21, Seoul] The best digital culture festival, ‘e-stars Seoul 2008’ co-hosted by Seoul Metropolitan Government and JoongAng Ilbo with the global e-sports fans run a poll on the Continental Cup players from March 21 to April 20.

There are two continental representatives, team East and team West. Each team has a manager making strategies and the global top e-sports stars will show off all-star matches. It is more meaningful that world fans vote for their favorite players and teams.

The Continental Cup, taking place from July 24 to 27 at SETEC, Seoul, has two official games, Half Life: Counter-Strike and WarcraftIII: The Frozen Throne. The participating teams and players will be decided by three different factors: 50% from on-line poll result, 20% from achievements in 2007, 30% from the evaluation of the Continental Cup Committee, who will oversees the rules, play format and supervises all process to make a world standard.

The Continental Cup Poll will be available at its official homepage, www.estarsseoul.org and its online media partners including naver.com, sina.tom, tom.com, replays.net, gotfrag.com, esl.eu, readmore.de, fragbite.com, proplay.ru, gg-game.com. One IP can vote only one time, and those clickers from the West can not vote for the Eastern players to have a fair result. After the e-stars Seoul office announces about the Continental Cup, a certain e-sports had many replies predicting who will play at the Continental Cup.

One of the Committee members, Jae-Sik Yoo, CEO of JoongAng Entertainment and Sports mentioned “through the Continental Cup poll, global e-sports fans will select world top pro-gamers and witness the establishment of representative e-sports team from each continent” and showed his confidence that the e-stars Seoul Continental Cup will be the world best e-sports event.
