According to Tiago Sena, marketing director of My Games, the Portuguese capital is so far the only city to have shown interest in hosting the event.

Sena is very confident that Lisbon will win the WCG vote in late 2009 following the success of the My Games Zon event last weekend at Estoril's Congress Center.

The event, which also served as host for the Portuguese WCG qualifier, was visited by almost 30,000 people, which, according to Sena, "shows that there is room for events like this in Portugal."

Sena further added that he believes Portugal will be able to clinch two medals at this year's WCG event in FIFA 08.
