KODE5 has confirmed Counter-Strike: 1.6 and Defense of the Ancients as its official titles for the 2008/09 season.
KODE5 has chosen to remove Warcraft III, which had been part of the tournament since the first season, from its pool of official games.

KODE5 will be holding two international online DotA cups on its new DotA website, where gamers can register for free and play for a prize purse of $2,000 USD and hardware prizes.

As for Counter-Strike: 1.6, Valve's first-person shooter will be played on the 16 qualifiers taking place all over the world, as well as on the season's Global Finals.

Meanwhile, KODE5 has confirmed its first Global Supporters of the new season: CM Storm and QPAD.

"We’re extremely thrilled to see KODE5 back for another season of action packed skirmishes at the very highest level," said David Jarlestedt, Product Manager at Cooler Master’s CM Storm Division.

"Among all the large international eSport leagues we believe our friends at KODE5 are the ones keeping the true eSports movement alive, and we’re naturally very proud to be arming the Global Gaming Revolution once again!"

Stay tuned to GotFrag.com as we will bring you all the action from the new KODE5 season.
