The ESWC Grand Final will now return to the old continent one year after taking place in the United States of America.

It has also been confirmed that the seventh ESWC season's Grand Final will take place in Bercy, Paris, from June 26th-28th.

National ESWC qualifiers will be held in over 50 countries all over the world from October 2008 to June 2009 to determine the teams and players on show at the finals.

The new season will officially kick off with the ESWC Masters of Athens on October 17th, a tournament that will only feature Quake III and Warcraft III.
