MyGamerfeed was designed with a clean, easy to use and highly customizable interface. Users are able to move the default feeds to any position on the site and are able to add their own custom feeds as they see fit. By registering for the website you are granted permission to add custom feeds and have your feed positioning automatically remembered on future visits. This is Version 1.0 of our release and many new and exciting features will be coming in the near future. Below is a list of Frequently Asked Questions that will help people to get the most out of the website.

FAQ

1. How do I change the order of My Feeds?
Answer: To Change the order of any Feed simply double click anywhere on the box you want to move and then drag it to the place in the page you want it to be.

2. How do I add my own custom feeds?

Answer: YOU MUST BE LOGGED IN TO DO THIS. To add your own feeds click the RSS List box in the upper right hand corner of the site. Once on this page click the add feed button. You will now be prompted to input the URL for where the feed exists this is going to typically be found on the website you are wanting to feed under there RSS Section. Once you have entered the URL you may then upload an image that would typically be the site's logo.

There's already a handful of sites like these, none are too popular, it's a good idea though. Jason Bass has a good idea with doing the boxes, a la igoogle.

I am really open to constructive criticism but I dont like the design is shocking to me. Can you all tell me what you don't like? I have done many sites over the years and graphically this is the one I was most proud of. So needless to say to hear this kind of feedback floors me. Help me out.

The layout makes great sense and the functionality is all there but graphically it just looks amateur. The borders are too thick and clunky, and the metal/screws design is just sort of simple and overplayed.

Again though, the functionality of the site is awesome, but I think graphically it would honestly benefit from something a big more dialed back or moddable like the igoogle stuff.
I tip my hat to any entity that could bring so much integrity to evil.

as others have said, ugly. the metal theme was played out over 10 years ago and is far from streamlined and clean. looks very amateur overall.

in regards to the other aspects of the site, it's an old idea and been copied many times over, including by esports entities. even right now, i can tell you of at least two other people/companies that have had sites in development that do the exact same thing plus so much more.

X is a website for gamers and designed by gamers doesn't sell anymore.

Website looks like something made in photoshop in 10 minutes and used on an Angelfire website.. and it's useless anyway, so iunno.

agreed with others, simple, solid color combinations, light background darkish text, various pastel shades of colors works great as it's very easy on the eyes.

This metal reaks of a 14 year olds first attempt at attempting a PS tutorial he found on p2l.

Simple is in.

This is nothing new at all... in fact this has been done by at least 10 websites before.

I think http://www.esportspress.com is better because it has:
a - more sources
b - clean interface
c - comments to items
d - ability to give feedback on items

good luck with your site anyway

most of the alignment is broken as well, even in firefox and safari

looks extremely 14-year-old ish

additionally, for this post to even try to label that site as "clean, simple, easy-to-use" is pretty ignorant, as it is none of those things

you really should have tested this site more - the layout and alignment breaks after hovering over an ad in firefox and safari

if you would have gotten some opinions on the design, i'm sure 99% of the people you would have asked would agree the design is awful

it seems like this page was made more for google ads than it was for content

I hear all of the criticisms on the metal, rivets, ugliness etc, but dinosaur I and many others tested this site thoroughly and I just spent 30 minutes trying to duplicate breaking of the layout and alignment and have failed to do so. So either I am not understanding what you are saying or there seems to be something wrong with your browser versus min

i am using an updated version of firefox, as well as safari

after you expand or hover over an ad, it doesn't align correctly within its metal frame once it returns

also, on the about, contact, etc... pages that's where the ads aren't aligned within their metal frames by default -- ie some of them overlap the metal rivets, and whatnot

hope that helped

Just use eSportsPress. Less bugs, cleaner design, more sources and no adverts = win.

I am awestruck by this thread.

Here is a guy trying to do something not only positive with his time, but positive for the eSports community as a whole. A guy that actually cares about the community. A guy that spent his time creating something he saw as needed and helpful, for the benefit of others...

You would think that the feedback he gets would be geared toward helping him push his idea forward, make it better, and make it more beneficial to the masses. Instead it is met with the type of feedback that would make the guy want to quit his efforts, and accept some sort of 'consensus failure'?

I believe the word I am looking for is 'wow'.
