Quite recently there have been afew big changes within the United States

compLexity Gaming lineup. coL being known as one of the best teams in the game winning countless competitions under the teams previous mgo, Pandemic, before they swapped over to the very well known mgo that is compLexity.

coL’s recently added medic to their lineup, United States

pure, who is willing to answer a few questions regarding the latest happenings within coL as well as the rest of the scene:

We have all heard about TheFragile’s recent departure from coL, but could you clarify anything for us?

There are a lot of stories swirling around about TheFragile’s departure from Complexity Gaming. While parts of the truth may be out there, it is in the best interest of all involved to just let sleeping dogs lie.

As sad as it is to see him and his famous :3 go, this has given you the chance to really show your skills. How did coL find you and what is your history?

I started with Saget in Tights (SIT, dev, iDemise), started a team with q3 friends, many of which now play with EG. After that I joined fragD/eximius/eMg. I’ve played every class in CEVO-P. As of now I am the medic for Complexity.

I’ve soldiered and Medic’d against the Reptile/oPlaid crew, so it wasn’t until they needed a medic that I offered to leave Team Dynamic, it just made sense. A friend of mine, Ruwin, was the favorite to join coL, but it didn’t seem to fit either side, so that dissolved pretty quick.

Reptile demo'ing? What about dummy? And like, if Reptile is the best soldier in the game, why not build a roster around him? As opposed to making him play a class he is good at, but not his main?

Demo is more of an impact class than soldier.

first off, im pretty sure when i played with old pandemic in ESL that all of the euros were quite worried about the lowest ping possible. 2ndly I didnt let you play brad because your 'new crew' complexity forced us to play with dinan which "imo" made us lose in the upper bracket finals, regardless of hubris playing medic or whatever you want to say, they had practiced with him several days in advanced as we were stuck with someone we had never played with before. Especially in the medic position! (no offense to dinan, i love you) if you want to ask real questions, get a lan together to actually have some sort of prize money worth attending and all of this will be settled. With all of the teams that have been put together NOW is the most opportune time for this game to explode, take advantage cause i'd love to see it happen.

Reptile is prolly the best NA demo I've seen and that was before he played it as his main. If he can get even better with it now with more frequent playing, he's going to be a huge + for coL.

#8 is correct about the EMS thing. Riemu (may he be bad in tf2 always, amen) was a complete sob and forced the old Pandemic to play on an awful server. I even rooted for Pandemic because of that (and because Riemu is bad) :3

And as we saw in the 2nd half, playing in a chicago server didn't make that much of a difference, carnage even seemed to meatshot more with a lower ping difference.

he flings them stickies like rockets, and stickies do a lot of damage. whereas, rockets do no damage anymore

Dummy is still on the col website - we'll be seeing him around, I presume? Even with this roster switch ? (which pains me to see, Reptile not soldier :( )

Joining complexity has been a dream for me. The moment "these guys" joined coL, I was dying to join them. Being a part of coL is it. Nothing beyond it. Sure we will fall here and there, but when it comes down to it, this team, now a part of compLexity, will win every online and LAN tournament that is out there. I relish the opportunity to play with the best.

Today we announce some changes in our Team Fortress 2 squad. The first part of the announcement is that Ryan "sycknesS" Mitchell and Eric "hubris" Dean will no longer be a part of the squad. Both players have been instrumental to the team's success and will be missed.
With the departure of sycknesS and hubris, we are announcing the addition of Ryan "Paladin" Foley and Andrew "Hell" Tran to the team. Paladin will be playing the role of a Soldier while Hell will take on the Scout. With these new additions, Tim "dummy" Olson will no longer be starting.
The core of this TF2 team has been the best since their inception. Unfortunately, the results this year, while very strong, were less then they are capable of. The team has been winning for so long, that some players seemed unwilling to adapt to the heighten level of competition in the pro TF2 scene. With this said, we have chosen to release hubris and sycknesS, bringing in some fresh talent to reinvigorate this championship squad. While some people may find us going into this upcoming season with 3 new faces (from the beginning of last season) inconsistent, we trust the opinion of our team captains and made all releases this season with the coL Community in mind. Our fans expect a championship squad, and this lineup is truly capable of delivering on those expectations. I left because I found out I was being replaced (I essentially got cut). I can't speak for dummy on the issue but I believe he got replaced in the same way that I did, pretty much under the radar. Only after I left was when I got the reasons for my replacement (they didn't like my play style, and I suppose they felt they would've beaten Pandemic if I had been replaced earlier).
The reason I say any of this is because the statement from JaX is essentially an insult to hubris, dummy, and I... This is evident in the way he words his announcement, and it's not appreciated. I felt betrayed by my long time friends and teammates, simple as that, and adding insult to injury is unnecessary.
To the coL TF2 members: I had a great time playing with you guys, enjoyed your company at my house, and just wish things didn't have to go down like this.
GL in ESEA and CEVO.

Pretty amazing that TheFragile, syckness, hubris, and dummy all get cut/benched while REP is still starting.

#29 I left because I've been bugging them to release me, sycknss could have stayed but he felt betrayed because they wanted to replace him (but they never did, because plans fell through), hubris was never benched or cut (when sycknss came back to the team, hubris had a different conflicting work shift around the same time, so it worked for him) then he voluntarily left to join 20ID, and dummy has detagged on steam friends (I don't know anything about that).

as far as sycknss's statement, I am also pretty shocked that JaX would say something so ridiculous and silly. wonder what he'll say next if the 'championship roster' doesn't win.

The fact they offered my spot to someone else was enough for me to leave, especially since I was in the dark about it the whole time. We were all good friends who had LAN'ed once or twice together, drank together, and had fun together. I didn't know winning was so important to them, and even if it their #1 priority, I felt like I put up a good (although, not great) performance in the finals.

If i remember correctly syckness didn't you win the badlands map to keep CoL in the finals and the only person during the game who actually kept killing there medic unlike oplaid who kept doing suicide runs.

Medic- Fragile and pure are both great
Soldier 1 - Rep is the same, no change here
Soldier 2 - Paladin is vastly inferior to Reptile
Demoman - You really think Reptile can out-demo dummy?
Scout 1 - Hell is not as good as syckness
Scout 2 - oplaid is still fat

Damn Syckness you did very well in finals. When it was announced that you were "released" I had no idea they were thinking of replacing you. Bad move on their part. Makes me sad to see this team breakin up. :(
