Bootcamp: Friday, July 31st , 2009 from 6pm to 2am. 6 Teams Max.
Tournament: Saturday, August 1st, 2009 - Sunday, August 2nd, 2009
Check In: Saturday, August 1st, 2009 at 11am

Game: Half-Life Counter-Strike 1.6
Game Type: 5v5; CEVO League Rules

Maps: de_dust2, de_inferno, de_nuke, de_train

GameFrog will provide tournament competitors with a PC and monitor, players are responsible for bringing their own computer peripherals. Mice, headsets, and keyboards will be available for rent the day of the tournament.

Registration Periods:

July 1st, 2009� July 10th, 2009: Early Registration ($40.00 / Per Person) ($10 Bootcamp Special)
July 11th, 2009 � July 26th, 2009: Regular Registration ($45.00 / Per Person) ($15 Bootcamp Special)
July 27th, 2009 � July 31st , 2009: Late Registration ($50.00 / Per Person)

Bootcamp Fee: $20 / Per Person on day of Bootcamp

Yes, coL.CS is attending this LAN event. So it's a good chance for anybody to play the currently best team in NA. :)

Well, i'm all for coL hosting their own lan tourney, but not the most ideal location to have one. I live like 15 minutes from charlotte but there's really no good teams around here that I can think of(besides coL), maybe i'm wrong though

coL is hardly the best team in america... they are a top 2 team for sure, right there with EG, but given the outcome of the last few lan events, you can hardly call them #1.

some people look at it differently heeps. there's a ton of teams out there who want a shot to play vs the best. i know when i was playing on lower-tier teams, i didn't go to tournaments for the incentives of cash. i went for the experience and the opportunity to get better..and what better way to improve than to play vs top teams? :D~

I woulda thought there would have been a larger prize pool for such a big event, its just normal prizes for a normal lan event, first place should be $2.5K alone, even tho it doesnt matter, since coL is pretty much guaranteed 1st place

The prize pot will increase as the number of teams attending increases. $2500 is just the guaranteed minimum.

2500 total is nothing, look at some of the cash prizes of the european tournaments. 2500 is what 3rd place gets...

wish i stilled played this game.

#42 first off i dont have a lan center to host it at, and if i did have a lan center and was as well known as complexity id blow this tournament out of the water, id have the prize money high enough to where european teams would find it worth coming too. The tournament would be huge. imagine the amount of players that would show up, id have every top team in the country not just the north east and id have so many individual players who would show up just to watch fnatic or SK Gaming or mTw or MYM whoever showed up. With sponsors and individual pass's and team fee's id easily be able to cover the large prize package i just threw out. But jason lake would rather throw a small tourney cause thats all america ever throws... small lan tourneys. And he will get a slightly above average 16-20 teams at 50$ a person with no individuals and will give out some small prize package cause he is a jew..

#48 This seems more like a community thing than a big lan tourney. I don't think coL is doing this for their own benefit, more so their fans and or people who want to play a top team on lan to gain experience.
