All Games: CEVO 1.6 Digital Insurgency Tournament

North America’s Most Talented Gamers to Compete for a Share of a $3,500 Cash Prize Pool!
Alienware Arena launched registration today for the Counter-Strike 1.6 Digital Insurgency Tournament, the latest event in an ongoing series operated by iGames and CEVO. The tournament is sponsored with a $3,500 cash prize pool.

Now a decade since public release, Counter-Strike 1.6 remains one of the world’s most popular first-person shooters and is the game of choice of many of America’s and Canada’s most dedicated and skilled gamers. Aspiring amateurs and established players alike are expected in a showdown that is every bit as immersive and intense as any other modern game.

Tournament play will begins October 26th with up to 128 teams competing through double-elimination brackets twice per week. The top 32 teams will advance to the finals leading up to the Championships that will be broadcast on AlienNetwork LIVE on Saturday, December 5th. Standard competitive rules for Counter-Strike 1.6 will apply.

Registration is open now on the Alienware Arena website at www.alienwarearena.com/event/cs-digital-insurgency/. Complete details including the full schedule and contest eligibility are also available. Slots will be assigned on a first-come first-served basis to fully registered teams, so interested gamers are encouraged to act quickly.

Initial registration for teams closes on Thursday, October 22nd.

Double-Elimination Preliminary Schedule (Oct 26 - Nov 19)

In the opening phase, teams will be scheduled to complete two matches per week – with deadlines on Mondays and Thursdays.

Using the communication tools available through the Alienware Arena control panel, it is up to teams to negotiate their exact match time, which can be any day or time prior to the deadline.

Match 1 Deadline: Thursday, October 29 - de_dust2
Match 2 Deadline: Monday, November 2 - de_inferno
Match 3 Deadline: Thursday, November 5 - de_tuscan
Match 4 Deadline: Monday, November 9 - de_nuke
Match 5 Deadline: Thursday, November 12 - de_train
Match 6 Deadline: Monday, November 16 - de_dust2
Match 7 Deadline: Thursday, November 19 - de_inferno

Final 2 teams per bracket advance to the next phase.

Tournament Finals (Nov 23 - Dec 5)

Match 1 Deadline: Monday, November 23 -
Match 2 Deadline: Thursday, November 30 -
Match 3 Deadline: Thursday, December 3 -
Matches 4-8 Deadline: Saturday, December 5

The final teams that remain will play out all remaining matches during the Championships on Saturday, December 5 starting at 2:00 PM eastern time. It is likely that the final Match may not end until around or after 11:00 p.m. Eastern Time on that day. The brackets will specify the exact order of the maps.
