As you all may know, eSports is intense and thrilling for both players and fans alike. Whether you're on the sidelines cheering, or the one actually behind the computer getting those essential frags and creating strat-breaking plans, as the team photographer it's my job to catch it all on camera. Amongst the cheers of victory or solemn faces of defeat is always one person who unintentionally makes the photo hilarious. This is where you, the loyal fans of Team EG, come in!

We bring you myEG.net's first ever caption contest! The rules are simple. We will be placing our photos on our new home away from home, Facebook, which is where the contest will take place. All you have to do is join our fanpage @ http://www.facebook.com/EvilGeniuses [but we all know you're fans already... right?], and locate our WCG Nationals Caption Contest photo album. From there, start captioning away!

As always, please be mindful of what you're posting. Anything extraordinarily excessive will be deleted, and you will be disqualified from participating. Limit yourself to one caption per image, and two [2] captions total. You're always welcome to delete your previous caption to make another entry, if you choose to do so, right up until the closing of entries.

And of course, prizes! What's a contest without a prize?

One lucky winner will be announced as Team EG's "Staff Pick," and will win a new SteelSeries 5hv2 Headset + USB Soundcard!

After our Staff Pick is announced, we will then open up the second stage of our contest: the "Fan Favorite!" We will choose the best caption for each of the five photos, and place them in the photo's description. Additionally, we've left room for one "wildcard" that will allow for a sixth caption as well, just to make sure all of the best entries get a fair chance. From there, it's up to you to click "Like" for your favorite caption. Our Fan Favorite will win a QcK Heavy mousepad!

Never to fear, however, if you were not chosen for first place: We will also be giving away EG points to our 2nd and 3rd place winners for both Staff Pick and Fan Favorite! 2nd place will win 8,000 EG points, and 3rd will be rewarded with 2,000 EG points.

The contest will begin TONIGHT, October 5, 2009 and caption entry will end on October 9, 2009 @ midnight EST. Winners of our Staff Pick will be announced that weekend, with Fan Favorite voting opening shortly after.
